Description
As dusk ends at my location on April 6, 2002, the starry richness of Cassiopeia to my northwest is revealed. See the constellation's characteristic "W" pattern of its brightest stars at the top of the field. The "little squirt" from the stars in the faint fading twilight is Comet Ikeya-Zhang then close to 50 million miles from Earth and receding outward away from the Sun. The comet has an orbital period of some 367 yrs, and will next return in June, 2369. Another God-given celestial gift for my eyes in my time here.
