Noncomestible

What happens when soaked mud freezes and becomes "sugar-coated" afterward by light snow pellets.  Looks almost delicious, comestible, but it's not.  Ash tree seeds scattered on the matrix give that away.  A macro-shot taken in the late afternoon of Feb. 20, 2014.
