Description

A colorful aurora surges above a neighbor's house some 300 ft outside the back yard of my residence in the middle of the night (1:30am MDT) July 13, 1991, being careful not to wake him up. The surge is some 40 degrees tall, as the white star in the top center of the picture is Polaris. I was impressed!
