Nocturnal Embrace

A looped surging aurora arc embraces the Big Dipper within the night of Sept. 29, 1992. The fainter kettle of the Little Dipper comes into the top left of the picture too. Beyond a doubt, I was also shining in the night then having recorded my 1,000th aurora event night in early April of that year, and God has since gotten envious of the long effort, using other ignorant uncaring people to put more artificial lighting in the area since. The Sun is also a more quiescent star these days too, as if to signal a twilight of my endeavor.
